形態特徵

• Annuals, or biennials. Culms ascending, 17-26 cm high, 1.5 mm wide.
• leaf blade linear, 4-15 cm long, 2-3 mm wide, obtuse-acute or acuminate at apex. Sheath not compressed. Ligule membranaceous, collar shaped,1.5-2 mm long.
• Inflorescence an open panicle, 3-7 cm long. Spikelet with 3 or 4 florets, elliptic or oblong or ovate, 4 mm long, 1.5-2.5 mm wide. Pedicels glabrous.
• Lower glumes chartaceous, lanceolate to ovate, 1-2 mm long, 1-nerved. Upper glumes chartaceous, elliptic to ovate, acute-obtuse at apex, 1.5-2 mm long, 3-nerved. Lemmas membranaceous, ovate to elliptic, 2.5-3 mm long, 5-nerved, villous on nerves. Paleas narrowly lanceolate, apex blunt to acute, 2-2.5 mm long, 2-nerved, villous on nerves. Callus not webed. Anthers 1 mm long. Caryopsis ellipsoid, 1-1.5 mm long, apex villous.

• 台灣 : This is one of the most common grass growing gregariously in yard and wild field.
• 世界 : Cosmopolitan in distribution.
